Mac Wiseman er en populær bluegrass sanger som mest er kendt for hans Dot Recordings indspildninger af "Shackles and Chains", "Jimmie Brown the Newsboy", "I'll Be All Smiles Tonight", "It Rains Just the Same in Missouri", "Put My Little Shoes Away" og "Love Letters in the Sand". Wiseman har spillet med bl.a. Bill Monroe og Flatt & Scruggs. Wiseman har fortsat sit musikalske virke og i 1990'erne er han stadig et af hovednanvnene ved bluegrass musikfestivaller.
